Vy Voi is a design studio based in New York. For its launch, I worked with the founder, Steffany, to create a simple brand wordmark, and shot the first collection's photos.

My babysitter enjoyed teasing me about how much I loved to eat. She decided to marry my Vietnamese name (Vy) with the Vietnamese word for elephant (con voi)—Vy Voi—and the name has stuck around in my family since.

You'll still hear my parents yell 'vy voi oÃ' across the room, hall, or street at any given moment.
